At 90.1 NBC FM (2NBC), we are committed to conducting our business in an environmentally responsible manner that aligns with corporate and community standards, expectations, and all relevant environmental legislation and regulations. We also ensure that any customer and community-specific environmental requirements are met as part of our commitment to sustainability.

Our Environmental Objectives

To uphold our commitment to environmental responsibility, we have set the following objectives:

Roles and Responsibilities

Station Manager:
The Station Manager is responsible for promoting and maintaining the Environmental Policy and Program. This includes communicating the policy to employees, volunteers, customers, business associates, and the broader community. The Station Manager also ensures that the policy is implemented, regularly reviewed, and updated as needed.

Supervisors:
Supervisors are accountable for taking all practical measures to ensure compliance with the Environmental Policy and Program within their areas of control. They are also responsible for involving employees and volunteers in environmental protection issues relevant to their work.

Employees:
All employees are expected to cooperate with the Environmental Policy and Program to protect the environment in their workplace, our customers' workplaces, and the broader community.

Volunteers:
Volunteers are also required to follow the Environmental Policy and Program to contribute to the protection of the environment in their roles.

Contractors:
Contractors working on 2NBC premises or locations must comply with our Environmental policies, procedures, and programs as part of their contractual obligations. Non-compliance will be considered a breach of contract and may lead to termination.

Environmental Program

In the event of an environmental incident, 90.1 NBC FM has systems in place to investigate the cause and take corrective action to prevent recurrence. Management regularly reviews environmental policies and procedures to ensure they are adequate and effective.

We adhere to standard procedures for containing and managing any contaminants using appropriate materials. All contaminated materials are disposed of in accordance with Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) requirements.
