Code of Conduct: All 90.1 NBC FM employees and volunteers must adhere to our Code of Conduct. The values and behaviors outlined in these codes apply equally to social media interactions.
Prudence and Good Judgment: When using social media, you must exercise the same level of care and judgment as you would in face-to-face interactions or public speaking engagements.
Authorized Representatives: Only authorized 90.1 NBC FM Social Media representatives may comment on policy, strategy, or operations. If you identify an issue that requires attention, please contact the authorized representatives through the Station Manager.
Use of 90.1 NBC FM Assets: Any personal social media use involving 90.1 NBC FM's information technology assets is covered by this policy.
Disciplinary Action: Violations of this policy may result in disciplinary action, including termination of employment.
Personal Social Media Use
When engaging in social media, consider it equivalent to making a public comment on radio, television, or at a public event. As a member of the community, you have the right to participate in public discourse, but there are specific guidelines to follow:
Official vs. Personal Comment: Avoid implying that your personal comments are official statements from 90.1 NBC FM.
Clear Separation: Make it clear that your views are your own and not those of 90.1 NBC FM. Use disclaimers like, "The views expressed in this post are my personal views and do not necessarily reflect the views of 90.1 NBC FM."

Factual Information: Limit your comments to public domain information and avoid expressing personal opinions on official policy or practice.

Reporting Inappropriate Use
If you come across inappropriate material related to 90.1 NBC FM, its employees, volunteers, or stakeholders (such as bullying, inaccurate information, or breaches of confidentiality), report it immediately to the Station Manager and the Chairman.
